This is not a traditional teaching job. We are seeking one or more professionals (females and males) for the role of Dancer, Instructor, and Business Developer. This dual title reflects our belief that great artists are also great leaders who will help our dance business to grow. You will spend your time both on the dance floor and behind the scenes, helping to expland our customer base and shape the future of dance in the region.

You will play a central role in running day-to-day operations. This includes:

Operations: Managing the studio environment, marking attendance with precision, and ensuring the premises remain professional and welcoming.

Finance: Responsibly collecting payments and assisting with basic financial record-keeping.

Customer Growth: Actively working to expand the 8count family through client outreach, expansion into new strategies beyond (teaching and events) and retention strategies.

Strategy: Designing new programmes, identifying market trends, and managing high-impact media content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and 8count's website.

We value independent thinkers who can seamlessly transition from a high-energy choreography session to the administrative excellence required to keep Muscat's premier dance studio thriving.

Required Styles and Expertise

Our studio section prides itself on offering a wide variety of disciplines. We are looking for instructors who are multi-lingual in the world of dance. We have a particular interest in candidates who can demonstrate familiarity or high-level expertise in the following styles:

We also encourage our instructors to bring their own preferred dance styles to the stage, studio, and dancefloor. (For instance, we are looking to further embrace Bellydance, Ballet, & Ballroom.) Whether you specialise in a traditional style or a specific fusion, we welcome your personal artistic signature and will help you to grow.

High-Stakes Events and Late Nights

Being a part of 8count means being a professional performer at the highest level. A core part of this role involves representing the company at prestigious events, corporate galas, and high-end hotel showcases. This is a demanding and competitive environment that requires resilience, adaptability, and a relentless work ethic.

Applicants must be prepared for a schedule that reflects the exciting nature of the entertainment industry. This includes working late into the night and early morning hours for performances, often following a day of instruction. You will frequently find yourself performing in challenging circumstances, such as outdoor stages or fast-paced festival venues. We are looking for "stage-ready" professionals who remain poised and professional regardless of the environment. Travel within Oman and across the GCC countries for these assignments is an essential part of your duties.

Teaching Toddlers to Seniors

We are selling the happiness that dance brings. A key component of this role is a genuine passion for dance education. We believe that dance is for everyone, and our instructors must be versatile enough to engage a vast demographic range. You will need to be comfortable and enthusiastic about working with:

Early Years (Ages 3+): Creating a fun, safe, and imaginative environment for our youngest dancers, especially during their busy term break workshops.

Youth & Teens: Mentoring the next generation of performers and preparing them for internal and external competitions.

Adults & Corporate Clients: Leading high-energy classes that balance technical learning with fitness and social engagement.

Animation: Encouraging adults at night clubs, bars and hotels to participate in a fun and responsible manner with dance activities led by you and potentially other members of the 8count team.

Elderly Adults: Providing gentler movements and social connections for our senior community members.

A Professional Standard

To maintain our reputation as a leader in the GCC, we require our staff to have a solid foundation in formal dance training. We have a particular appreciation for the rigorous discipline and technical precision often found in the prestigious training traditions of Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. We also currently have a number of dancers from Latin America. Artists who have been forged in these esteemed academies often bring a unique work ethic and grace that resonates deeply with our international clientele. Of course, we welcome applications from any skilled dancer in any location!

While we value fresh energy, we also prefer at least a little professional experience beyond your training. We are looking for individuals who have already stepped onto a professional stage or led a dance class with confidence. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate their suitability and professional presence from their very first day.

Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive package designed to ensure you can live comfortably whilst focusing on your passion. The Omani Rial is one of the strongest currencies in the world. Our two-year contract (with repeated renewals potentially available for the right person) includes a total monthly salary of OMR 420, which is broken down to cover all your essential needs:

In addition to your monthly salary, you will be provided with private health insurance. For those looking at a long-term future with us, we provide a return flight allowance to your home country upon visa renewal every two years (capped at OMR 400). You will also enjoy thirty days of paid annual leave per year, allowing you to explore the region or visit home.
